The information for the second dose will  be on your vaccination card from your first dose.

Individuals who received the COVID-19 vaccine through another provider or the local health department should contact the provider directly for guidance on obtaining the second dosage. CommWell Health will not administer second doses to those that did not receive their first dose at CommWell Health.

COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions and Answers:

Can you get a vaccine in a state or county you do not live in?

Yes. The CDC has instructed states that this is a federal vaccine bought with federal funding. Thus, jurisdictions may not put restrictions on administering vaccinations to non-residents, as long as those persons meet the current eligibility criteria. This applies to both county and state residency.

Where can I get my second dose?

If you received your first dose at a CommWell Health vaccination event, you will receive the second dose through CommWell Health.  The second dose will be given out at the same location and time you received your first dose through CommWell Health.

When will I receive my second dose?

28 days from the first dose.  When you get your first shot, you will get information on your vaccination card for the second dose. The second dose will be given out at the same location and time you received your first dose through CommWell Health.  You will also receive an email notification from North Carolina with a reminder for your second shot.

North Carolina uses a secure data system called the COVID-19 Vaccine Management system (CVMS) to make sure you are safe and get your second shot at the right time.

Am I eligible to get the vaccine today?

Visit https://findmygroup.nc.gov/ to determine your eligibilty for the COVID vaccine.

Because vaccine supplies are still limited, anyone eligible for vaccination may have to wait. As more vaccines become available, vaccinations will be offered to everyone who wants one, including in clinics and drug stores, as well as at vaccination evens in communities.

How will I know when it's my turn to get a vaccine?

CommWell Health does not determine the next phase group.  Please visit NCDHHS for North Carolina state guidelines and CDC for national guidelines.

How quickly North Carolina moves through each group will depend on the available vaccine supply. Currently, supplies are very limited.

Will I receive documentation that I received the vaccine?

Yes. You will receive a vaccination card that tells you what COVID-19 vaccine you received, the date you received it, and where you received it. It will also have the date/time/location for your second dose. If you misplace your vaccination card, we will need to verify you in our system prior to receiving second dose.

We recommend you take a picture of your vaccination card in case you misplace it.
