Education: Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master’s degree from the University of Georgia; Doctor of Dental Surgery program from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Mission Work: After graduate school, Dr. Locey lived in the Dominican Republic for two years, while she served in the Peace Corps. There she began participating in medical/dental missions, and discovered her calling for dentistry.
Memberships: Dr. Locey has served on the Missions of Mercy Planning Committee of the North Carolina Dental Society. She is a member of the Wake County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Patient Care Philosophy: Dr. Locey states “I cannot imagine a better job than dentistry. I love improving smiles for patients of all ages. I’m dedicated to improving the dental health of every patient, with an approach that is gentle, compassionate, and thorough”.
Clinical Interest: Oral Surgery
Interest: Dr. Locey enjoys hiking, camping, jogging, reading, watching theater, and live music performances, playing guitar, writing songs, and spending time with family and friends. She volunteers her time in the community through Wake Smiles, Dentistry from the Heart, Habitat for Humanity, and Missions of Mercy dental clinics.
I love the culture, the atmosphere, and most of all, my colleagues. There were times in past employment where I dreaded going to work. NOT ANYMORE!!! I absolutely love my career (notice I didn’t say job) and I love the purpose of the Quality Department: to help all the departments/sites be even better than their established superiority. I was born to soar like an eagle!
